You can reach us at: [email protected]

Why did Time for Wax introduce laser hair removal?

accordion icon

Many people have asked us where the idea of offering laser hair removal came from—after all, Time for Wax is a salon network specializing in waxing since 2007! Waxing has always been at the heart of what we do. We love it, we trust it, and we’re not planning to give it up anytime soon. So our loyal clients can rest assured 🙂. But we also believe in growth. We’re constantly thinking about what more we can do for you. We listen to your suggestions and stay in tune with what’s happening in our industry. We evolve for you, so that you can choose the hair removal method that best suits your needs and preferences.

Where can I get a laser hair removal treatment?

accordion icon

Laser hair removal is available in all Time for Wax salons. Choose the most convenient location for you and book your treatment where it suits you best.

Who is laser epilation for?

accordion icon

Laser epilation at Time For Wax can be used for people with any skin phototype who want to reduce unwanted hair by removing most of the hair after performing the recommended series of treatments and by weakening the hair and preventing or slowing down its regrowth.

Laser technology is not recommended for people:

  • with gray hair;
  • with high sensitivity to pain;
  • who have contraindications to laser hair removal.

* People with light, red or very thin hair need to wait a little longer for the effect.

If you have any doubts whether laser hair removal is for you, make an appointment for a free consultation.

What are the contraindications to laser hair removal?

accordion icon

Periodic contraindications

*Pregnancy and breastfeeding;

  • Fever;
  • Using antibiotics from the tetracycline and fluoroquinolone group,
  • Bacterial or viral infection (e.g. active herpes),
  • Taking oral retinoids – to perform the treatment, 6 months must have passed since the end of treatment,
  • Use of retinol ointment (topical retinoids) in the place of treatment – to perform the treatment, a month must pass after the end of treatment;
  • Photosensitizing drugs, photosensitizing herbs, e.g. St. John’s wort or calendula;
  • Injection in the treatment area;
  • Alcohol (drink 24 hours before the planned procedure);
  • Vaccinations (wait two weeks after injection).
  • Applying a cosmetic with shiny particles to the skin.

Permanent contraindications

  • Epilepsy;
  • Diabetes;
  • Cancer diseases;
  • Coronary heart disease;
  • Blood clotting disorders;
  • Viral hepatitis;
  • Autoimmune diseases such as: lupus, scleroderma, vitiligo, psoriasis;
  • Dermatological skin diseases, e.g. photodermatosis, tendency to discoloration,
  • Metal implants;
  • Pacemaker;
  • Varicose veins (at the site of the procedure);
  • Hyaluronic acid injections, implants (at the site of the procedure);
  • Pigment marks (congenital and acquired located at the site of the procedure);
  • Tattoos (in the place where the procedure is performed);
  • Tendency to develop keloids and keloids.

How to prepare for the procedure?

accordion icon

Two weeks before the planned treatment, do not sunbathe the area to be treated.

Remember to stop drinking alcohol at least 24 hours before the planned procedure. On the day of the treatment, wash your skin thoroughly and do not use cosmetics such as peeling, balm, olive, body butter, perfume or deodorant. Be especially careful with cosmetics containing shiny particles, such as balms, oils, highlighters or shower gels – particles on the skin will prevent us from performing the treatment.

If you plan to perform the treatment in the afternoon or evening, in the morning of that day you should shave the part of the body that will be subjected to laser epilation. If your treatment is scheduled in the morning, do it in the evening the day before. When shavingbefore the first epilation, remember to leave a small unshaven area (approx. 1 cm²), this will help assess the color and thickness of the hair.

Come for your appointment on time, discuss the most important issues with the beautician, fill out the consent for the treatment and as soon as we confirm that laser hair removal is for you, we will be able to start working!

Who performs the procedure?

accordion icon

The treatments are performed by properly trained beauticians with extensive experience, who are at your disposal if you have any questions or doubts.

Why do you require a signed consent form for each treatment?

accordion icon

Laser epilation is not for everyone, it may be that you have contraindications to the procedure. Contraindications are divided into permanent and temporary. Both the former and the latter may change, and we want to make sure that the treatments are performed taking care of your safety, because it has (always) been our priority. That is why, before each treatment, we will ask you if nothing has changed since our last meeting and ask you to sign the consent to perform the treatment.

What side effects can I expect after laser hair removal treatment?

accordion icon

In people with fair skin and lighter hair, side effects are more subtle.

The darker, thicker and denser the hair and the darker the skin, the more intense the skin reactions will be.

Common side effects:

After the treatment, a slight erythema is visible in the hair follicle area. If you have dark, thick hair, you may also experience perifollicular swelling. These effects are normal and last several hours, rarely up to 2 days, and very rarely several weeks.

Rare side effects:

  • blisters, scabs (usually heal within a week);
  • pigmentation changes (mainly as a result of not using sun protection) and may last up to several months;
  • dark hair may lose its dye and due to lack of absorption, it can no longer be removed with laser/light.

Very rare side effects:

  • permanent changes in pigmentation and scars;
  • „paradoxical” hair growth, more common in patients with dark skin

Can I also perform epilation treatments in the summer?

accordion icon

Yes, you can also perform epilation treatments in the summer. Just remember the basic rule: we do not perform the treatment on body parts that were exposed to the sun 2 weeks before epilation. After the treatment, you should avoid sunbathing for 2 weeks. In the summer and spring period, remember to use a cream with SPF 50. We recommend it all year round, especially in the face, neck and décolleté areas.

Is the procedure painful?

accordion icon

Honesty in relationships is important to us, so we tell it like it is: during the treatment, you may feel some discomfort, similar to a prick, which is associated with a feeling of warmth in the hair area. This varies in severity depending on the individual predispositions of each of us.

Why do we sell treatments in packages?

accordion icon

According to our experience, the optimal number of laser hair removal treatments is a series of 7 treatments. That’s why we offer packages with this number of treatments. Purchasing treatments in a package also allows us to offer you a lower price for one treatment. However, sometimes it happens that additional treatments are necessary to achieve the effect you expect. Then you can purchase individual treatments.

What should I remember when deciding to purchase a package?

accordion icon

One of our top priorities is your safety. Therefore, before you buy a laser epilation package, read the contraindications for laser epilation treatment and possible effects side effects after its implementation. If you have any doubts, make an appointment for free consultation, we will be happy to answer all your questions and We will try to dispel all your doubts! We want your choice to be conscious and safe for you!

I don’t see a package for the body part I want to epilate, why?

accordion icon

If you don’t see a depilation package covering the body area you want to depilate in the online store, please contact us! We will see how we can prevent this, our email is [email protected].

Photorejuvenation

Who is photorejuvenation for?

accordion icon

Photorejuvenation is an treatment for those who want to:

  • Improve skin texture (firmness and pore size reduction)

  • Brighten pigmentation and discoloration

  • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles

The treatment can be performed as a single session (often referred to as a “party-ready” or “event” treatment) or – for longer-lasting, more noticeable results – as part of a series of four sessions.

Laser-based treatments are not recommended for individuals who:

  • Have a high sensitivity to pain

  • Have contraindications to laser technology

If you’re unsure whether photorejuvenation is right for you, we encourage you to book a free consultation.

Where can I perform the photorejuvenation treatment?

accordion icon

Photorejuvenation treatments are available in all Time for Wax salons. No matter where you are, you can book your appointment at the location that’s most convenient for you.

What are the contraindications for photorejuvenation?

accordion icon

Temporary contraindications

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • Fever;
  • Use of antibiotics from the tetracycline or fluoroquinolone groups;
  • Bacterial or viral infection (e.g. active herpes);
  • Oral retinoid use – treatment can be performed only 6 months after completion;
  • Use of topical retinoids (e.g., retinol creams) on the treatment area – wait at least 1 month after stopping application;
  • Photosensitizing medications or herbs (e.g., St. John’s Wort, calendula);
  • Recent injections in the treatment area;
  • Alcohol consumed within 24 hours before the treatment;
  • Vaccinations – wait 2 weeks after injection.

Permanent contraindications

  • Epilepsy;
  • Diabetes;
  • Cancer diseases;
  • Ischemic heart disease;
  • Blood clotting disorders;
  • Hepatitis (viral);
  • Autoimmune diseases such as lupus, scleroderma, vitiligo, psoriasis;
  • Dermatological conditions (e.g., photodermatosis, strong tendency to pigmentation disorders);
  • Metal implants;
  • Pacemaker;
  • Varicose veins (in the treatment area);
  • Hyaluronic acid injections or implants (in the treatment area);
  • Pigmented marks (in the treatment area);
  • Tattoos (in the treatment area);
  • Tendency to form keloids or hypertrophic scars.

How to prepare for the treatment?

accordion icon

Two weeks before the planned treatment, do not sunbathe the area to be treated. During this time, try to use sun protection of at least SPF 50.

Avoid tanning the treatment area for at least two weeks before your scheduled photorejuvenation session. During this time, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 50 daily. Also, make sure to avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before the treatment. Arrive on time for your appointment. If we confirm that photorejuvenation is right for you, we’ll proceed with the treatment. The beautician will:

  • Prepare your skin by performing a gentle cleansing or makeup removal
  • Explain how the treatment works
  • Provide you with protective goggles to wear during the session

After the procedure, you’ll receive instructions on how to care for your skin at home. The session lasts about 30 minutes. If you’re planning a single „event-ready” treatment, schedule it about 5 days before your big occasion. For the best and most lasting results, we recommend a series of 4 treatments, spaced one month apart.

Why do I need to sign a consent form before every treatment?

accordion icon

As you may know, laser technology isn’t suitable for everyone. You might have temporary or permanent contraindications to photorejuvenation. These conditions can change over time, which is why we always want to make sure that each treatment is performed with your safety in mind – our top priority from the very beginning.

That’s why before every session, we’ll ask if anything has changed since your last visit and kindly request that you sign a new consent form before we begin the treatment.

Who performs the treatment?

accordion icon

All treatments are carried out by properly trained and experienced beauticians. They are always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have and ensure your comfort throughout the entire procedure.

Is the treatment painful?

accordion icon

Because honesty is important to us, we’ll tell it like it is: you may experience some discomfort during the treatment, similar to a mild pricking sensation caused by the warmth of the laser. The level of discomfort varies from person to person, depending on individual sensitivity.

What side effects can I expect after the photorejuvenation?

accordion icon

People with fair skin usually experience milder side effects, while those with darker skin may notice more intense skin reactions.

Common side effects:

Mild redness (erythema) around hair follicles after the treatment. This is completely normal and typically lasts a few hours, occasionally up to 2 days, and very rarely a few weeks.

Rare side effects:

  • Blisters or scabs, which usually heal within a week;
  • Pigmentation changes, most often caused by lack of sun protection. These can last for several months.

Very rare side effects:

  • Permanent pigmentation changes or scarring;
  • Paradoxical hair growth, more likely to occur in individuals with darker skin tones.

What should I keep in mind before purchasing a treatment package?

accordion icon

Your health and safety are among our top priorities. That’s why, before purchasing a photorejuvenation package, we encourage you to carefully review the contraindications and possible side effects associated with the treatment. If you have any doubts or questions, feel free to book a free consultation – we’ll be happy to answer everything and help clear up any concerns. We want your decision to be fully informed and completely safe for you.

  • by phone: +48 501 477 005

  • by email: [email protected]

In most cases, you can book up to 7 days in advance. During busier periods, we recommend booking even 14 days ahead to secure your preferred time slot.

Can I bring someone with me to the appointment?

accordion icon

We kindly ask that you come to your appointment without any accompanying persons.

Do I have to wear a mask in the Time for Wax salon?

accordion icon

Wearing a mask is not required, but you’re welcome to wear one if it makes you feel more comfortable.

How to prepare for the treatment?

accordion icon

Before waxing, make sure your hair is the right length — ideally between 0.5 and 1 cm. If the hair is too short, wait until it grows to the recommended length. On the day of your appointment, avoid using greasy creams, lotions, or oils on the area to be waxed.

If you’re coming in for a bikini wax, we kindly ask that you use a bidet and freshen up your intimate area just before the treatment. Every Time for Wax salon is equipped to allow you to do this comfortably on site.

What should the hair length be?

accordion icon

For the best waxing results, hair should be between 0.5 and 1 cm long. If the hair is too short, it may not be possible to remove it effectively. On the other hand, if it’s too long, you might experience more discomfort and pulling during the treatment.

What NOT to do BEFORE waxing?

accordion icon
  • Do not apply oily creams, lotions, or body oils to the area you plan to wax.
  • Avoid sunbathing, using the sauna, or visiting a tanning salon before and immediately after waxing.

What NOT to do AFTER waxing?

accordion icon
  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated or salty water until any irritation subsides.
  • Do not go to the sauna until the redness disappears.
  • Refrain from exercising immediately after waxing.
  • Do not use a razor between waxing sessions.
  • Avoid applying colored cosmetics (such as powders or foundations) directly to freshly waxed areas, as these products can clog pores.

How long do waxing results last? What affects their duration?

accordion icon

Waxing results typically last around 3 to 4 weeks, depending on your individual hair growth cycle. The duration of smooth skin may vary across different areas of the body.

Hair grows in different phases, and some hairs may not be visible above the skin at the time of waxing. This means that after your first few sessions, some hairs might grow back sooner. Regular appointments help to synchronize hair growth, leading to longer-lasting results over time.

How long can irritation last after waxing?

accordion icon

It’s completely normal for the skin to be irritated and red immediately after waxing. However, these symptoms usually fade within a day or two as the skin calms down. Once the redness subsides, the skin feels soft and smooth to the touch.

If the irritation persists for longer, please contact us at: [email protected] or get in touch directly with the salon where your treatment was performed.

Strip Wax vs. Magic Wax – What’s the difference and which should you choose?

accordion icon

Magic Wax is Time for Wax’s signature formula, made exclusively from natural ingredients. It adheres only to the hair – not the skin – making the treatment significantly more comfortable and reducing post-waxing irritation. It is especially recommended for bikini waxing (both women and men), smaller body areas, and in the following situations:

  • You have sensitive skin or are prone to irritation

  • You are sensitive to pain

  • It’s your first waxing experience

  • You want your skin to return to normal as quickly as possible

Standard strip wax used at Time for Wax is one of the gentlest strip waxes available on the market. It’s highly effective and recommended for larger body areas. Strip waxing is also a very quick method of hair removal.

Our experienced beauticians will help you choose the best wax for your needs during your appointment.

What’s the difference between Classic, Brazilian, and French Bikini Waxing?

accordion icon

At Time for Wax, Brazilian waxing refers to a full intimate wax. This includes the complete removal of hair from the pubic mound, labia, and the area around the anus. It’s often described as full or deep bikini waxing.

Classic bikini waxing is the most minimal option. It includes hair removal only from the sides of the bikini line—just enough so nothing shows outside your underwear.

French bikini waxing is an intermediate option between Classic and Brazilian. It involves removing hair from the bikini line and part of the pubic mound, leaving a vertical strip along the center.

The back area is not included in either the Classic or French versions.

Brazilian vs. Hollywood Wax – What’s the difference?

accordion icon

At Time for Wax, a Brazilian Wax refers to a full intimate waxing that includes both the front and back—often also called a full or deep bikini wax.

In other beauty salons, this same treatment is often referred to as a Hollywood Wax. Although the names may differ, the scope of hair removal is the same.

What is the process of intimate waxing like?

accordion icon

Before the treatment, you’ll be asked to use a bidet and freshen up the intimate area. In the treatment room, disposable underwear will be provided for you to wear throughout the session. What does a Brazilian Wax look like in practice? The warmed wax, brought to a temperature of around 37–38°C, is applied to small sections of the skin using a spatula. The wax is then swiftly removed along with the hair. To ensure your comfort, the beautician may ask you to help by gently stretching the skin during the treatment. They will also guide you on the best body positions to ensure the process is safe, effective, and as comfortable as possible. After the treatment, you can apply oil or lotion recommended by the beautician to soothe the skin.

Does Brazilian waxing hurt?

accordion icon

Applying the wax itself is not painful—it’s the removal that can feel uncomfortable. The level of discomfort varies greatly from person to person. Some people find the procedure quite painful, while others describe it as only mildly uncomfortable and very brief.

For those who are sensitive to pain, we recommend using our signature Magic Wax, specially designed for bikini waxing. Thanks to its unique formula, both pain and irritation are kept to a minimum.

Is waxing safe during pregnancy?

accordion icon

We do offer waxing treatments for expectant mothers, but only if they feel well and their overall health allows it. In the later stages of pregnancy, the situation becomes more individual. If a mom-to-be has been waxing throughout her pregnancy, tolerates the procedure well, and her doctor sees no contraindications, she can usually continue with waxing safely. The final decision is always up to the pregnant person. However, if you haven’t had waxing before, it’s recommended to try it only up to the 6th month of pregnancy. After that point, for the safety of both you and your baby, waxing is not advised.

Is waxing possible during your period?

accordion icon

Yes, waxing during your period is absolutely possible. There are no medical or technical contraindications. If you’re getting a bikini wax, you’ll just need to use a tampon and pay special attention to intimate hygiene both before and after the treatment. However, we do not recommend waxing during menstruation for those who are sensitive to pain, as the body tends to be more sensitive to discomfort during this phase of the cycle.

Can I come for waxing at Time for Wax with my child?

accordion icon

For the safety of your child, we kindly ask that you do not bring them with you to your appointment at Time for Wax. Our salons use hot wax, which poses a potential risk to little ones.

Please take this time just for yourself. Ask your partner, grandmother, aunt, or nanny to watch your child while you’re at your appointment. This way, your child stays safe, and you can fully relax during your treatment.

Ingrown hairs – how to deal with them?

accordion icon

If you’re prone to ingrown hairs, proper skin care before and after waxing is essential. One of the most important steps is to regularly use a coarse-grain scrub—such as the Time for Wax Professional Sugar Body Scrub—which helps exfoliate dead skin cells and allows hair to break through the surface more easily. For those with a tendency toward ingrown hairs, we recommend waxing with our signature Magic Wax, which helps minimize this issue and reduces skin irritation.

How should men care for their skin after waxing?

accordion icon

Men tend to sweat more than women, which makes post-wax hygiene especially important. Sweat contains bacteria that can lead to folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles). We recommend using antibacterial soap on freshly waxed areas to reduce the risk of irritation or infection. Additionally, men should avoid the gym, swimming pools, saunas, and tanning beds for the first few days after waxing to allow the skin to heal properly.

What is folliculitis and how to deal with it?

accordion icon

Some people who undergo waxing may experience folliculitis – a condition where the skin becomes red around the area where the hair follicle was removed. This irritation can sometimes develop into a small pimple or cause itching. To reduce the risk and manage symptoms, follow these post-wax care guidelines:

  1. At home, use antibacterial products such as toners or soaps on waxed areas.
  2. After facial waxing, avoid applying powders or foundations, as these can clog pores. The skin is sensitive and the follicles freshly removed, increasing the risk of folliculitis.
  3. Aloe vera-based products are highly recommended – they soothe irritation and speed up skin regeneration. Applying an aloe mask at home can be very effective.
  4. For the first few days, before applying any lotion or body butter, disinfect your skin with hydrogen peroxide or cleanse it using antibacterial soap.

Proper hygiene before and after waxing significantly minimizes the risk of developing folliculitis.

Before your first visit

Firstly: The hair

accordion icon

We know you want to entrust your unwanted hair to our expert hands – and we want you to be fully prepared and happy with the results. For waxing to be effective, your hair needs to be between 0.5 and 1 cm long. On average, that length is reached about 14 days after your last shave. So, all you need to do is wait around two weeks, and you’ll be ready for your waxing session.

Secondly: The skin

accordion icon

For best results, your skin should be regularly moisturized using creams or body lotions. Dry skin is more prone to irritation, redness, and even small abrasions.

Before your waxing session, be sure to exfoliate. This helps remove dead skin cells and lifts the hairs, making them easier to remove during the treatment.

Thirdly: What not to do right before waxing

accordion icon
  • Do not apply oils, heavy lotions, or greasy creams to your skin, as they make it difficult for the wax to adhere properly to the hair.

  • Avoid saunas and tanning beds before your appointment.

  • The beautician may refuse to perform the waxing if your skin appears irritated, abraded, or shows visible changes.

  • Varicose veins and broken capillaries are also contraindications for waxing.

More about hair removal

Will my hair grow back darker and thicker?

accordion icon

Quite the opposite! The hair will grow back lighter and finer after each treatment.

Do you wear gloves during waxing?

accordion icon

Of course! Our beauticians always use disposable gloves.

What not to do before and after waxing?

accordion icon

After waxing, your skin may be irritated and red. This is completely normal. Within a day or two, once the skin has had time to rest, the redness should fade, leaving your skin soft and smooth. The effects of waxing typically last around 3 to 4 weeks, depending on your individual hair growth cycle.

  • Do not sunbathe or use tanning beds.
  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated or salty water until any irritation has completely subsided.
  • Skip the sauna until your skin has fully recovered.
  • Avoid intense physical exercise right after waxing.
  • Do not use a razor between waxing sessions – it disrupts the hair growth cycle and may cause irritation.

What does the waxing process look like?

accordion icon

The wax is heated to a temperature of around 37–38°C and then applied to the skin using a spatula. It is removed using a cotton strip, pulling the hair out from the root.

Applying the wax itself is painless. The removal can be uncomfortable, but the level of discomfort varies from person to person. Some find the procedure quite painful, while others say it’s not that bad at all.
