We don’t have to convince anyone that eyebrow henna is the most popular treatment for the eye area. Interestingly, henna has been known since ancient times. Although it may seem like a modern product, women have been using henna over 6,000 years ago. The well-known Cleopatra also used the benefits of this cosmetic. Back then, a mixture of dried plants and lime milk was used to dye eyebrows. Today, the henna recipe has changed slightly, but its popularity continues. Henna is still very popular.
In our salons we perform both women’s and men’s eyebrow henna. Henna contains natural ingredients, so in addition to dyeing, your eyebrows gain an injection of active ingredients – they will be shiny and nourished.
First, the beautician will make sure that there are no contraindications to the procedure. You can read about contraindications below. Then he will remove make-up from the eyebrows. Even if you’re not wearing makeup, this is a necessary step because the dyed areas need to be clean. Then, the beautician prepares the preparation for dyeing – the shade is individually selected to suit your beauty type, hair color and your personal preferences. Vaseline is applied to the area around the eyebrows. It protects us against unwanted dyeing. Then the beautician applies henna to the eyebrows – painting them in the appropriate shape. This is an important stage because the final styling effect depends on it. It requires precision and appropriate knowledge that allows you to highlight the eyebrow arch. After about 5-10 minutes, the henna is washed off. The longer we keep henna on our eyebrows, the stronger the styling will be. This is the last stage – the eyebrows prepared in this way are ready to be adjusted with wax.
Brow henna usually lasts from 2 to 4 weeks. It depends on many factors. Among other things, this is influenced by home care. Eyebrows should be properly moisturized after the procedure to avoid losing the dye. Additionally, some skin types (e.g. combination, dry or oily) have a greater tendency to remove preparations faster.
Remember that there are several contraindications that prevent styling. These include: inflammation and purulent conditions around the eyes, disruption of the epidermis in dyed areas, allergies to preparation ingredients, stye, conjunctivitis.
