Contraindications to depilation of thighs

Out of concern for the well-being of our clients, we are extremely strict about the safety rules in our salon. We care about you and your health, so we will not perform the procedure if you have any contraindications. During the first conversation with the beautician, tell us in detail about your diseases and doubts so that she can decide whether the treatment is safe in your case. If there are contraindications, unfortunately the procedure cannot take place. This is purely out of concern. We wouldn’t want your body to experience any side effects after the treatment. What are the contraindications to the procedure? First of all, you cannot undergo the treatment if you are taking retinoid medications. These are drugs that are most often used to fight skin diseases (e.g. psoriasis), but also to treat acne. Their formula causes the skin to dry out and tighten. Applying wax and then violently removing it from the body may lead to disruption of the skin, severe irritation and other side effects. The same applies to visible wounds, redness, hematomas, acne and skin lesions. If they occur in the area you want to depilate, the treatment should not be performed for safety reasons.

Excessive tanning of the skin is also prohibited before the treatment. This must not be done either in the sun or in a solarium. Intensely tanned skin is irritated and tender, even if we cannot see it at first glance, and waxing may cause irritation or inflammation, e.g. folliculitis. If you suffer from chronic skin diseases, e.g. psoriasis or acne, you should also inform the beautician about this before starting the treatment. It may also not be possible to take place. A few days before the treatment, perform a thorough skin peel to remove dead skin and expose the hair. This will make epilation easier. On the day of the treatment, do not use fatty oils, balms and creams – you can do it the day before. The wax may not stick well to heavily oiled skin, which will result in less thorough depilation.
