What is armpit laser hair removal?
Epilation is performed using a modern tool. The device emits a beam of light that is directed by the head to the treatment area. Light is absorbed by melanin. It then damages hair follicles and, as a result, inhibits further hair growth. Usually, one treatment is not enough to permanently get rid of the problem of regrowing hair. The first procedure only weakens them. Most often, we perform a series of 4–8 treatments. We discuss the details with the client at the beginning of cooperation. Changes can also be made during laser therapy if necessary.
Laser armpit hair removal for men consists of the following stages:
- consultation and qualification for the procedure – during the visit, we exclude possible contraindications and discuss the course of laser therapy with the patient;
- target visit – the laser emitting head is directed to the hair bulbs. The procedure takes 5 to 10 minutes;
- next visits – we check the condition of the growing hair. Progress should be visible with each subsequent treatment.
Laser hair removal of armpits is a quick, comfortable and gentle treatment for the skin. It only takes a few minutes. It causes only slight skin irritation and redness. It is also completely hygienic.
How to prepare for laser hair removal of armpits?
The laser hair removal treatment for armpits does not require any specialized preparation. However, you must remember not to apply any deodorants or antiperspirants to your skin on the day of the procedure. They may react with the light beam and even cause burns. Therefore, it is discouraged. The hair should be shaved before the visit – be especially careful not to, for example, cut the skin. Unhealed wounds are a contraindication to the procedure.
Does laser hair removal underarms hurt?
The sensations depend primarily on the pain threshold of a specific person. However, in our plant we use a modern laser with a cooling head. Therefore, we take care to minimize pain.
When is it not recommended to perform laser hair removal on men’s armpits?
Laser hair removal is not recommended in the summer. It is best to start therapy in autumn or winter. This is because the treated area is not recommended to be exposed to sunlight. This could lead to burns or discoloration, for example. Due to the fact that hair removal usually lasts several months (a break of several weeks is recommended between treatments), autumn and winter are the perfect time to start this process.
What does recovery look like after the procedure?
Laser hair removal underarms does not require any special recovery time. The skin may be slightly red and irritated afterwards, so it should be treated gently. It is better to avoid intensive cleaning or care products and instead choose gentle ones with natural ingredients. You should also remember not to expose your armpits after laser hair removal to intense sunlight.
What are the indications for laser hair removal of armpits?
